Congratulations to Canon
Roger Greenacre, DD Just
a week or so after this issue of the Messenger is published, Father Roger,
our beloved Chaplain, will pass a momentous milestone in serving the
Christian community for 50 years as a Priest, for it was 50 years ago that
he was ordained. We are honoured that he should be here at St Michael’s
guiding us along our spiritual path at this time. Those of us working on the Messenger, his Church Wardens,
the Church Council, the Life Patrons, Patrons and Friends of St Michaels
and all of his congregation in his Parish here and afar would
like to wish him heartfelt congratulations. We
would also like to wish him many more years of active service to God and
hope that he spends as many of those years as possible – those years
that he wishes to at least (may
they be many) – with us here in Beaulieu. As
you know, he is celebrating with a service in Chichester Cathedral on the
29th September. Many of us will be with him. But whether we are with him
or not I know that we would
all like to assure him that our prayers and thoughts of congratulatory
best wishes will be with him on that day. The
next issue of the Messenger will celebrate his Jubilee. But for now CONGRATULATIONS
FATHER ROGER! and,
if I may say so, GOD BLESS!
